TAHOE

Labor Day weekend Jeremy and I headed to Lake Tahoe with Mom and Dad Rudd to stay at our good friend, Clark Williams, condo. it was such a fun trip and a perfect way to head our summer here in California. We were pretty packed in the car with Jeremy, Kody, and I in the back seat,

and Dad starting his vacation off with a nap on the way there.

Dr. Williams' cabin was awesome! It was so nice to be right on the beach too! That is the cabin and the staircase that we would take down to the private beach where our spot on the beach was always reserved ...what more could you want? :)

(We did have some "trespassers" one day but the boat police came to remove them...total beach drama!)

And our view from the beach with the mountains surrounding the lake. Such an amazing spot for a weekend getaway. We didn't waste anytime either soaking up the sun on the beach.

Of course we had to get a little family picture too!

After the sun went down, we spent time inside eating yummy food, watching movies, playing games, and attempting to finish a puzzle.

I love puzzles and thought that I could finish this one in a weekend but I underestimated how long it would take to put together a a difficult 1000 piece puzzle. Bummer!

Kody of course had to bring his "buddy" and spent his time relaxing with the rest of us.

The view from our balcony was so beautiful each night. We took the opportunity for a little photo shoot.

We also found some sweet tubes and a raft (that I guess I didn't get pictures of) that we thoroughly enjoyed floating on!

I got creative and used the raft pole to help navigate the tube.

Mom and Jer had a blast together! :)

Jer also got creative and used the tube to help him find treasures on the bottom of the lake...he's just a kid at heart!

Tyler's Temple Trip

Probably my favorite part of the summer was being present for Tyler's first time in the temple. It was such a special experience and we were all so happy to be there with him.

Giants Game

Jeremy and I were very spoiled to have gotten to go to a Raiders game and then a Giants game. A bunch of people from the Brentwood 3rd ward got together to go the game against the Braves.We did a little tailgating before and then bundled up for a chilly night of some baseball.

Our view...not as close as the Raiders game, but we could still see the action! :)

Dad unfortunately was out of town on business, but luckily we got a great second choice: Scotty Groseclose. He was the life of the party! :)

Jeremy obviously didn't get the Giants memo since he was wearing all blue...traitor!

Vicki hung out with mom and I. I think they did more chatting than watching but they sure looked the part!

This was such a fun outing with the ward and I loved being there for mom's first experience at a professional sports game!

The Beach and The Raiders

With Tyler's friend Kelsey in town, we had some adventures planned. The four of us had a day planned with a trip to Linda Mar for some surfing and body boarding and then to a Raiders game. It was a long and busy day but so fun!

Youth Conference

It was such an interesting experience to be on the other side of the youth conference experience. Jeremy and I volunteered to help with the registration. I sat there just thinking about how grateful I was to have found Jeremy and to be out of the dating phase of life! After awhile we decided to get out of there and do a lunch date to Fentons. It has been too long and it was so fun!

Ocean Beach

While Mom and Dad Rudd were away on one of their trips this summer, Jeremy and I were able to babysit Kody. We were staying at the Evans' home and since Tyler had a friend visiting we decided to do a trip to Ocean Beach. Kody loved it! He loved walking on the beach and getting so much attention. People all along the beach were fawning over how sweet and cute he was. I was a proud mama!

We LOVE the BEACH!

After relaxing and walking on the beach we enjoyed a little fire on the beach. We roasted hot dogs and then marshmellows for s'mores. Yummy!

And Kody posing too...away from the fire. He was the only one that didn't enjoy the fire. He kept getting farther and farther away. Eventually I took a towel and layed down with him to keep him warm. I think he just loved staring off at the ocean and enjoying the peace!
